HOSPITALITY, BUSINESS & LUXURY

Hospitality schools in Switzerland

Hospitality can mean managing a hotel, building a luxury brand or running a food business. Start with the work your child wants to explore, then compare what each degree actually teaches and awards.

START WITH THE STUDENT

Which direction feels right?

01

Hospitality management

Look at the balance between practical operations and academic business study. Compare the placement sequence, campus moves and time spent away from the classroom.

02

Business & luxury

A student interested in finance, marketing or brands may prefer a broader business degree. Compare subject depth and the role hospitality plays in the curriculum.

03

Culinary & food enterprise

If the ambition begins in the kitchen, examine the amount of culinary training alongside management. A culinary degree and a hotel-management degree prepare students differently.

A COMPLETE FAMILY BUDGET

Compare what the price includes.

A published annual figure may describe a preparatory stage, academic semesters or a residential package. Compare the whole route, with the same assumptions about accommodation, meals and placements.

LES ROCHES · EXPERIENTIAL YEAR · 2027

CHF 50,025

Our sum of CHF 38,455 in compulsory academic charges and insurance, plus CHF 11,570 for the practical semester’s double room and board. This is the experiential year, not the whole degree. Application, deposit, internship living costs and personal expenses are additional.

THE COMPARISON THAT MATTERS

The complete route

Request every year’s academic charges and the living costs attached to each campus or placement. Keep refundable deposits separate. A paid internship should have its own income-and-expense estimate, rather than being treated as a guaranteed reduction in tuition.

  • Does the quotation include the preparatory or experiential stage?
  • Which room type, meals, insurance and equipment are included?
  • What must the family fund while the student is on an internship?
  • What changes with a campus transfer, optional semester or room upgrade?

FROM COMPARISON TO APPLICATION

A shortlist. A clear plan. Personal support.

We turn the comparisons into an application plan for your child. Your family has one point of contact for programme selection, preparation of the files and coordination with the institutions.

01

Check the actual entry route

Review the diploma, grades, age and language evidence for the selected programme. A preparatory stage within a degree is different from a course needed to meet an entry requirement.

02

Prepare a coherent application

Bring together school records, any required translations, motivation materials and references. Prepare for interviews or assessments where the school requires them.

03

Work back from the intake

An intake month is not an application deadline. Allow time for selection, documents and any entry formalities, then confirm the offer conditions and payment dates.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Questions from families.

Which hospitality school is best for my child?

The useful shortlist depends on the student’s academic background, preferred balance of practical and classroom work, language readiness and career interests. We compare these with the complete degree and family budget before recommending applications.

Can my child study hospitality in French?

EHL offers a French Bachelor section, with its preparatory year taught in English. HIM also offers a French–English BBA route. We check the language of each stage and the evidence the student must supply, rather than treating a bilingual route as entirely French.

Will SwissAdmissions handle the applications?

We help select programmes, prepare and organise the application files, coordinate correspondence and keep deadlines visible. Your child remains involved in decisions and completes their own personal work and assessments. Schools make their own admission decisions.
