What do those figures mean for the family?
| Option | Planning figure | What this covers |
|---|---|---|
| UNIGE | CHF 22,600–23,800 | Two semesters’ tuition + 12 months of the UNIGE student living benchmark. |
| Geneva Business School | CHF 54,500–55,700 + EUR 150 | Tuition + one-time administration + the same 12-month Geneva living assumption + application. |
| Les Roches | CHF 50,025 school charges + extras | Experiential year only. Add application, deposit, internship living costs, travel and personal spending. |
Four choices that change the final budget.
- Accommodation: shared residence, private studio or apartment; contract length and holidays matter as much as the monthly rent.
- Everyday life: meals included, local transport, insurance cover and a realistic personal allowance.
- Travel and placements: journeys home, family visits and accommodation during internships away from campus.
- Preparation and support: language tuition, tests, translations, equipment and any agreed advisory support.
Plan when funds need to be available.
Use these decision points to build the family’s payment calendar. The institution’s offer and contracts determine the actual dates.
- 01
Before applying
Confirm the full programme cost
Check the fee category, intake, number of semesters and any preparation year. Record application and document costs.
- 02
When an offer arrives
Review the commitment
Identify acceptance payments, cancellation terms and what happens if the student cannot take up the place.
- 03
Before arrival
Allow for costs arriving together
Tuition, rent, deposits and travel may fall due close together. Keep cash-flow needs separate from the annual total.
- 04
Before each new study year
Update the plan
Check revised fees, campus or placement changes, and exchange rates if the family funds the budget in another currency.
For our first conversation
- Intended programme and starting date.
- Annual budget range and preferred currency.
