A recognised degree from a programme lasting at least 3 years. The school certificate alone does not meet this requirement.
The reduced exam requires the national certificate and admission to the same subject at a recognised university in Qatar. Otherwise, the full exam applies.

Swissuniversities lists Qatar’s national certificate as Shadahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama, or General Secondary Education Certificate. In the 2026/27 public-university table, the national certificate alone does not satisfy Geneva’s degree-based admission condition.

Geneva requires a completed university degree, even with strong school results. We can compare alternative admission routes and explain which preparation, if any, would suit your child.
Prepare the complete university record and clarify the intended study level. Recognition of a degree for an application does not establish a right to transfer credits.
Do not assume so. Check the teaching language, accepted certificates and exemptions at the target university. ETH’s Bachelor programmes principally teach in German.
The 2026/27 Qatar entry requires a university degree of at least three years. An ECUS preparation course does not replace this published qualification requirement.
